| A few months ago my passenger side JWT Sport 500 turbo completely siezed on me, so I decided to upgrade to Z1's GT600R Turbos. The was my first engine pull. While I was doing this I also replaced a defective knock sensor, bypassed the throttle body lines and deleted the egr. All rubber hoses and gaskets were replaced. I had the plenum, water pipes and balance tube powdercoated. The engine and bay was degreased and cleaned. I also resealed the oil pan, valve covers and replaced the motor mounts. Once I got everything back together the car fired right up and was running good. I hooked up my Conzult and verified all the vital stats were normal. I took the car out for a test drive and here's my impression of the new turbos. The GT600R definitley has more lag compared to my old Sport 500s, but still not bad. When the power comes on the car pulls real nice. I think when the new MS Manifolds are released it will help these turbos a lot. For a stock engine/manifolds the lag is still minimal. Just wanted say thanks to several members who helped me out when I had questions: Joe(NoVa) -those pesky SS Oil lines, Kaz(Dallas)-My transmission issues and Greg at SZ for all my general questions.
